Wesley Sneijder nears injury return

Inter Milan are expected to welcome back Wesley Sneijder for this weekend's match against Novara.

The Dutch international missed Sunday's 4-0 defeat to Roma because of a leg injury.

However, Sneijder took part in a 90-minute training session this afternoon and appeared to come through that unscathed.

Ricky Alvarez, Diego Forlan, Dejan Stankovic, Juan and Giampaolo Pazzini also took part in the session and could return to Claudio Ranieri's squad for the upcoming Serie A fixture.
