Esteban Cambiasso delighted with Milan derby victory

Inter Milan midfielder Esteban Cambiasso has revealed his delight at the club's victory over AC Milan on Sunday evening.

The Nerazzurri claimed a 1-0 win thanks to a late goal from Rodrigo Palacio, and Cambiasso admits that it was important to beat their city rivals ahead of the winter break.

"It's a huge joy for us – both us and the fans – because it's always good to head into the holidays with a smile," Football Italia quotes him as saying.

"Winning a derby is always fantastic, it means so much and we know that. Tomorrow the fans will be able to go into work with smiles on their faces.

"We're not looking at the table. This game is just a step forward for us."

Inter are currently fifth in the Serie A table.
