Sports Mole looks ahead to this weekend's Championship encounter between Hull City and Barnsley.

Hull City host Barnsley at the KC Stadium this weekend in the Championship as the home side try to keep up the pressure on the top five of the table.

Steve Bruce's team have the chance to leapfrog Blackburn Rovers and Crystal Palace in the table to claim a spot in fourth place if they grab all three points from Barnsley.

Meanwhile, Keith Hill's men are struggling in the bottom half of the league following their 4-1 defeat to Nottingham Forest last weekend, which has placed them just three points above the relegation zone.

Hull are likely to opt for Robert Koren to hold a midfield five, while Jay Simpson and Sone Aluko are likely to be used as the home side's goal threats.

Barnsley could choose Kelvin Etuhu up front alongside Marlon Harewood.

Recent form:

Hull: LWWLW

Barnsley: LLWDL

Possible lineups:

Hull: Amos; El Mohamady, Chester, Bruce; McShane, Rosenior, Koren, Evans, Quinn; Simpson, Aluko

Barnsley: Alnwick; Stones, Foster, Wiseman, Golbourne; Mellis, Dawson, Perkins, Cywka; Harewood, Etuhu

Sports Mole says: 2-0
