Sports Mole previews Friday's Championship clash between Hull City and Bristol City.

Hull City will attempt to move a step closer to automatic promotion to the Premier League when they welcome recently-relegated Bristol City on Friday.

The Tigers currently occupy second position in the table, six points ahead of third-placed Watford with just three matches remaining. However, Watford's superior goal difference means that Steve Bruce's side still have work to do in the final weeks of the season.

Bristol City, however, will be playing League One football next season after their relegation from the Championship was confirmed on Tuesday. They also enter the match having taken just one point from their last six league matches, comfortably the worst record in the division.

Bruce has no fresh injury concerns ahead of the match and could therefore name the same side that lost to Wolverhampton Wanderers on Tuesday. However, strike pair Jay Simpson and Matt Fryatt are both pushing for recalls.

Bristol City, meanwhile, could recall Wes Burns and Richard Foster to their starting team. However, Paul Anderson is a slight doubt after picking up a muscular injury in the 1-0 defeat to Birmingham City.
