Steve Harper: 'We must end poor run of form'

Steve Harper believes that Hull City are ready to find their best form following an inevitable disappointing run in the Premier League.

Steve Harper has admitted that Hull City must put an end to their recent run of poor form ahead of the Premier League meeting with Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.

Hull are yet to collect a point in 2014, but Harper claims that a difficult period was inevitable following the club's promotion from the Championship.

"As a newly promoted team, you're always going to have a bad run and hopefully we're approaching the end of ours," Harper told the club's official website.

"I think the one bonus is that it has happened for us at the right time. It's happened mid-season when we can do something about it.

"The common theme running through our dressing room is that we need a win, the sooner the better and hopefully that can start on Saturday."

Harper is expected to replace the suspended Allan McGregor against Spurs at the KC Stadium.
