Houston Dynamo have claimed a spot in the MLS playoffs with a comfortable 3-1 victory over Philadelphia Union at home.
The hosts were in control of the match right from the start and took the lead after just five minutes through Macoumba Kandji.
Jack McInerney restored parity for Union in the 19th minute when he headed home Sheanon Williams's corner.
However, Houston came back strongly in the second half and went 2-1 up on 71 minutes, Oscar Boniek Garcia firing in from outside Union's penalty area.
Three minutes later the hosts earned themselves a penalty when Carlos Valdes was adjudged to have brought down Will Bruin inside the 18-yard box.
Brad Davis made no mistake from 12 yards to send Houston to the MLS playoffs.
