Heerenveen have returned to winning ways in the Eredivisie with a 3-1 victory at home to Groningen.
The home side opened the scoring on 35 minutes when Simon Thern powered the ball past the goalkeeper after linking with Pelle van Amersfoort.
Groningen then got themselves level five minutes into the second half as Michael de Leeuw arrived in the box to convert Mimoun Mahi's cross.
Heerenveen retook the lead just five minutes later thanks to Hans Hateboer turning the ball into his own net, but they were reduced to 10 men on 82 minutes when Marten de Roon picked up his second yellow card.
However, they went on to secure the points in stoppage time through Henk Veerman's strike.
