Carrick returns to partner Lewis Stevenson up top, while McGhee slots in at right-back.

Kilmarnock, meanwhile, welcome David Moberg Karlsson, Sean Clohessy and Michael Gardyne into the team following their 2-0 loss to St Mirren last time out.

Hearts are currently bottom of the table, while Kilmarnock are eighth.
