Go Ahead Eagles pile misery on NAC Breda with eighth winless game

Two first-half goals saw Go Ahead Eagles condemn NAC Breda to an eighth game without victory in Eredivisie.

Jules Reimerink and Alex Schalk struck before the half-hour mark as Go Ahead won 2-0 at De Adelaarshorst.

Reimerink was without a goal this season prior to kickoff, but opened the scoring with a tidy finish on 12 minutes.

Schalk has been more prolific and netted for the second game in succession to quickly double Go Ahead's lead.

Breda, who have not scored in suffering defeats in their last two matches, struggled to convert what was an equal share of possession into chances as Eagles keeper Mickey van der Hart had a quiet evening.

Another miserable night for the visitors was compounded when Mats Seuntjens was sent off eight minutes from time, as Go Ahead easily held on to three points which take them to 14th in the table, two places above Breda.
