Gillingham have signed Connor Smith on loan from Watford until the end of the season.
The Republic of Ireland Under-21 midfielder is expected to go straight into the squad for this weekend's League One clash with Colchester United.
Smith, who scored against Gillingham for Watford in a pre-season friendly, has played five times for the Hornets this season.
The 20-year-old made his first senior appearance for Watford in a 3-2 win over Crystal Palace in August 2012.
