Genoa have completed a deal to sign experienced striker Marco Borriello from Roma.
Reports at the weekend suggested that Queens Park Rangers had joined the race for the 32-year-old and were considering making a bid to beat Genoa to his signature.
However, Borriello has elected to return to Genoa for a third spell in Liguria as he looks to find regular football after falling down the pecking order at Roma.
The former West Ham United and AC Milan forward failed to make an appearance for Roma following his move to the Italian capital in the summer.
