Unal Aysal: 'Wesley Sneijder is going nowhere'

Galatasaray president Unal Aysal says that Wesley Sneijder is going to stay with the Turkish club, despite speculation linking the player with a transfer.

Galatasaray president Unal Aysal has said that Wesley Sneijder will not be leaving the club this summer.

The Netherlands captain has been linked with a move away from Turkey this summer due to his impressive performances at the World Cup, but Aysal is adamant that he will be staying.

"Sneijder is going to stay with Galatasaray," he told reporters. "It's not just our opinion but that of Cesare Prandelli and the player. There can be no talk of a split between us.

"He had a tiring season and right afterwards he played at the World Cup. He will rejoin us after the holidays."

Sneijder joined Galatasaray last January from Inter Milan.
