Fulham will rebuff any offers for Liverpool target Clint Dempsey

Fulham have denied that they have received any bids for Liverpool transfer target Clint Dempsey.

The USA international has been linked with a switch to Anfield in recent weeks, with reports claiming that a £10m deal between the two parties is close to completion.

Despite the speculation, a spokesperson for the Cottagers has insisted that no bids have been lodged for the midfielder and that the club have no intentions of selling Dempsey, according to talkSPORT.

The American, who has one year remaining on his current contract at Craven Cottage, netted 23 goals last season.
