Scottish League One roundup: One point still separates the top two

Forfar Athletic and Dunfermline Athletic both win on the road in Scottish League One.

Forfar Athletic remain top of Scottish League One following their 2-1 win at Airdrieonians, but Dunfermline Athletic are breathing down their neck.

The league leaders needed a last-minute goal from Gavin Swankie to seal the points after Dale Hilson cancelled out James Lister's opener for the hosts.

Dunfermline rallied late on in their visit to Stirling Albion, netting twice in the final 10 minutes through Shaun Byrne and Faissal El Bakhtaoui to win the match 2-0 and remain a point behind Forfar.

Brechin City leapfrogged Greenock Morton into fourth after beating them 3-1 at Glebe Park, while third-placed Ayr United slipped to a 2-0 loss away to Peterhead.

Stenhousemuir and Stranraer were involved in an entertaining 2-2 draw, in which the home side rescued a point deep into stoppage time when Colin McMenamin scored his second of the afternoon.
