"I've known about Forest Green for a while - and I think it's a great club. I'm just really excited to be a part of it. It's going to be an exciting season and there's plenty to look forward to," he said.

Manager David Horseman added: "Jacob will bring us something a little bit different. He's a good dribbler, he can carry the ball and he's good at counter-pressing.

"He has strong pedigree having been at Chelsea and all the England youth teams. He's got a bit to prove, so he's hungry and ready to go."
