Marcus Kelly happy with Forest Green Rovers start

Forest Green Rovers striker Marcus Kelly insists that his side have enjoyed the "perfect start" to their Conference campaign.

Forest Green Rovers striker Marcus Kelly has insisted that his side are delighted with beginning the new Conference season with four points from two matches.

Rovers began with an emphatic 8-0 victory over Hyde before drawing away at Nuneaton, and Kelly believes that the New Lawn outfit have had the "perfect start".

The 27-year-old told BBC Gloucestershire: "It was the perfect start, wasn't it.

"We wanted two things - a win and a good performance with it. We got both which is really good."

Kelly joined Forest Green after rejecting a new contract with previous club Tamworth.
