Fiorentina to offer Josip Ilicic new deal?

Fiorentina have reportedly decided to hand Josip Ilicic a new contract.

At present, the 27-year-old is contracted to the Stadio Artemio Franchi until the summer of 2017.

However, having scored three goals and assisted two more this season, La Viola are keen to offer the Slovenian fresh terms in a bid to warn off any potential suitors, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Ilicic joined Fiorentina from Palermo in 2013 for a fee believed to be in the region of £7.5m.
