Utrecht turn to Court of Arbitration for Sport over Swansea sale of Michel Vorm

Utrecht turn to CAS over Vorm sale

Eredivisie club FC Utrecht have turned to the Court of Arbitration for Sport in a bid to claim money said to be owed by Swansea City following the sale of Michel Vorm to Tottenham Hotspur.

Netherlands international goalkeeper Vorm, who signed for Swansea from Utrecht in 2011, joined Spurs last summer in what the Premier League sides claim to be a free transfer.

Utrecht reject that suggestion, however, and insist that they should receive 30% of any fee received by Swansea, with the club confirming its plans to turn to CAS when speaking to the Daily Mail.

FIFA ruled in favour of Swansea over the matter earlier this year.
