Sunday's Major League Soccer predictions including Inter Miami vs. CF Montreal

Cincinnati vs. DC United (Sunday, 7.00pm)

A pair of undefeated Eastern Conference sides square off on Sunday in MLS action as FC Cincinnati host DC United at TQL Stadium.

Last Saturday, the Orange and Blue won their first regular season fixture of the new campaign, edging the Chicago Fire 2-1, while DC scored twice in the final 18 minutes to earn a 2-2 draw with the Portland Timbers.

We say: FC Cincinnati 2-1 DC United

While DC have shown they can create and finish chances, they have also not been particularly sharp on the back end, and against a side as creative and organised as Cincy, that could be a serious problem.

Nashville vs. LA Galaxy (Sunday, 7.00pm)

Nashville SC can claim their first victory of the 2024 MLS campaign when they welcome the Los Angeles Galaxy to GEODIS Park on Sunday.

The Boys in Gold converted a 90th-minute penalty last Saturday, earning a 1-1 draw with the Colorado Rapids, while the Galaxy came away with a convincing 3-1 triumph over the San Jose Earthquakes.

We say: Nashville SC 0-1 Los Angeles Galaxy

The Galaxy are showing their attacking potential early into the new campaign, and we believe they will carry the play against a Nashville side that are among the top defensive units in MLS but do not have many chance creators going forward.

Inter Miami vs. Montreal (Sunday, 9.00pm)

Inter Miami can match their longest MLS unbeaten run from the 2023 season (four games) when they host CF Montreal at Chase Stadium on Sunday.

Last weekend, the Herons smashed arch-rivals Orlando City 5-0, while Montreal picked up their first victory of the domestic campaign, defeating Dallas 2-1.

We say: Inter Miami 1-1 CF Montreal

While the Herons have a vastly more experienced side in big games, at times, their age has been their enemy, and that could enable Montreal to earn a point, seeing as the Herons played in the CONCACAF Champions Cup on Thursday.
