World record 105-hour football match finishes in Edinburgh

Amateur footballers break the world record for longest football match by playing for 105 hours in Edinburgh.

A group of amateur footballers have completed a 105-hour long football match in Edinburgh.

The match started at 1pm on Saturday, and the final whistle blew at 10pm last night.

Thirty-six players helped raise over £75,000 for the Craig Gowans Memorial Fund, in memory of former Falkirk player Gowans, who died in 2005, aged 17.

The Reds beat the Whites by a score of 774-707.
