Sochaux have come from behind to earn a draw in their first Ligue 1 match of the season away to Evian TG.

The visitors made a bright start, with Cedric Bakambu calling Bertrand Laquait into action in the first minute of the game, but it was Pascal Dupraz's men who drew first blood at the Parc des Sports.

Julien Faussurier's foul on Nicolas Benezet gave Cedric Barbosa the chance to deliver into the area and Fabrice Ehret headed his side into a fourth-minute lead.

It stayed that way until the 54th minute when Roy Contout sent a left-footed shot from outside the box into the bottom left corner.

Laquait had to be alert to deny Edouard Butin twice in the second half, but neither side could find the winning goal.
