Everton boss Roberto Martinez rejects rumours that Kevin Mirallas wants to leave

Martinez rubbishes Mirallas exit rumours

Everton manager Roberto Martinez has rubbished reports that Kevin Mirallas will consider leaving the club in the January transfer window.

It has been claimed that the 28-year-old will consider his options when the window reopens as he is struggling to gain regular first-team action at Goodison Park.

Mirallas is believed to be concerned that he may miss out on a place in the Belgium squad for next summer's European Championships if he is not playing regularly.

However, Martinez has dismissed suggestions that the winger is looking to leave by telling reporters: "Kevin being unhappy here couldn't be further from the truth. He is very important for us and he knows that."

Mirallas signed a new three-year contract with Everton in August.
