Courtney Duffus signs new Everton deal

Everton have handed a new two-year contract to young striker Courtney Duffus.

The 19-year-old is yet to feature for the Toffees at senior level, although he was named in the squad for last season's Europa League tie away at Swiss club Young Boys.

"I was just made up to be [in the squad against Young Boys] to be honest. Hopefully I can pick up where I left off when I get back fit and be challenging to get in that first team again," he told the club's official website.

Duffus was recently sidelined by a knee injury, which is likely to keep him out of action until September.
