Everton's Ramiro Funes Mori 'to snub Olympics call-up'

Everton defender Ramiro Funes Mori will reportedly turn down the chance to feature in the 2016 Olympics to focus on club football.

Everton defender Ramiro Funes Mori has been tipped to reject an international call-up for Argentina's 2016 Olympics squad.

The defender wants to remain in England to impress new Toffees manager Ronald Koeman, according to The Mirror.

Funes Mori featured for Argentina during their recent Copa America campaign, reaching the final of the competition before losing on penalties to Chile.

He is said to be under pressure to represent Argentina in Rio after several domestic clubs refused to release their players for the competition.

However, Funes Mori will reportedly spurn the opportunity for more international football this summer to ensure that he is first choice for Everton next term.
