Roberto Martinez: 'We must be able to face anyone'

Everton manager Roberto Martinez believes that his players need to be able to adapt to whichever opposition is lined up for them in the FA Cup quarter-finals.

Everton manager Roberto Martinez has claimed that his players need to be able to adapt to whichever opposition is lined up for them in the FA Cup.

The Blues booked their place in the last eight with a 3-1 win over Swansea City at Goodison Park on Sunday and have been drawn against either Arsenal or Liverpool for a spot in the semi-finals.

Martinez told Everton's official website after the draw: "In the FA Cup you always hope to have a home tie. But, if you want to win the cup, you need to be able to face anyone, wherever it is and be able to adapt towards it.

"I think a Merseyside derby would be just perfect to show if we can win the cup or not. The same if it's Arsenal away. Arsenal and Liverpool are in very good moments of form, so we will need to be at our best. But it's something we will look forward to."

The last-eight fixtures will be played on the weekend beginning March 8.
