Leighton Baines "desperate" for FA Cup run

Leighton Baines has admitted that everybody connected with Everton is hoping for a lengthy run in the FA Cup.

The Toffees face Blackpool in round five this weekend, with the winner progressing through to the quarter-finals of the competition.

Everton were beaten finalists in 2009 and Baines has revealed that the squad are keen to go one better this time around.

"[The Blackpool tie] is a massive game for us," Baines told the club's official website.

"We are desperate for a cup run as we know how much we all enjoyed it last time."

Everton last won the FA Cup in 1995.
