Victor Sanchez pleased with form

Espanyol midfielder Victor Sanchez believes that he is in the best form of his career.

The 26-year-old took his goal tally to three with a brace in the 3-2 win over Athletic Bilbao on Monday evening, a result that continued the club's unbeaten start to the La Liga season.

"I was lucky with the goals. I'm sure I won't be the top scorer at the end of the season! But it's always nice to get your name on the scoresheet. I think I'm in the best moment of my career," he told reporters at a press conference.

"I feel comfortable here and a part of the team. We are strong, with some exceptional individuals. Our secret? Effort, humility and sacrifice."

Espanyol face Villarreal on Thursday.
