Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to fly out to England's training base in Portugal

Chamberlain included in England's training trip

Arsenal's Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has insisted that he will take part in England's World Cup preparations.

The 20-year-old has been struggling with a groin injury, which kept him out of the Gunners' 3-2 victory over Hull City in the FA Cup final on Saturday.

Despite initial doubts over Oxlade-Chamberlain's fitness for the tournament in Brazil next month, when asked if he would fly out to the Portugal training base, the player told The Mirror: "You bet."

England will get their campaign underway with a Group D match against Italy in Manaus on June 14.

The Three Lions will also play Uruguay and Costa Rica in a bid to progress into the knockout stages.
