England to play Nations League games at Molineux

England will play two of their UEFA Nations League fixtures in June at Molineux, the home of Wolverhampton Wanderers.

With the World Cup being staged in Qatar at the end of the year, four England matches are scheduled to be played between June 4 and June 14.

The first two - against Hungary and Germany respectively - will take place on away territory, but it has been revealed that England's opening two home matches will not be staged at Wembley Stadium.

Instead, Molineux will play host to the Three Lions' senior team for the first time since 1956 with Italy and Hungary making the trip to the West Midlands.

The game against European champions Italy on June 11 will be held behind closed doors, a consequence of the crowd trouble which occurred at the Euro 2020 final.

However, the visit of Hungary on June 14 will be open to supporters, with the Football Association having been left impressed with several Under-21 internationals which have been held at the ground.
