England Under-21 manager Stuart Pearce intends to give some of his squad's younger players a run-out in tomorrow's match against Israel.

England Under-21 manager Stuart Pearce has revealed that he is already planning for the 2015 European Championships despite speculation over his future.

England have been disappointing during this summer's tournament, losing their opening two games to Italy and Norway to make qualification from their group impossible with one match still to play.

Pearce's role has been called into question following the performances, but he still intends to use the remaining game - against tournament hosts Israel - to give some of the squad's younger players international experience.

"I never like to give my team away but one thing I can tell you is that I will select a team with a view to the next campaign. That will be the fairest thing for me to say," said Pearce.

"I have got to make sure I have 10 or 11 players in this group that can run in the next campaign and that tells you we have a very young squad here in the first place.

"I think experience for those players will be vital in this tournament. Even though we have not been successful they will take that experience with them to the next campaign. You will see a few of those younger players playing."

England need to at least draw against Israel to avoid becoming only the second team ever to exit an Under-21 tournament with zero point.
