Rachel Yankey breaks Peter Shilton's cap record

Rachel Yankey has become England's most-capped international footballer after playing her 126th game for her country today.

The Arsenal Ladies midfielder was part of the side that drew 1-1 with Japan at the Pirelli Stadium this afternoon, securing herself one more cap than former England goalkeeper Peter Shilton.

The 33-year-old set up England's goal in the warm-up match for the European Championships, which take place in Sweden later this summer.

Yankey made her England debut in 1997.
