The Federal Bureau of Investigation have launched an investigation into the reasons behind Russia's successful 2018 World Cup bid.
The probe has come about following allegations that the individuals behind Russia's bid tried to hack into email accounts of staff members from both the England and USA teams, according to The Mirror.
England were shockingly knocked out of the running in the first round of voting for the World Cup in six years' time, while the USA lost out on hosting the 2022 tournament to Qatar following their decision to drop out of the 2018 bid.
The FBI are believed to have interviewed members of the English Football Association that were involved with the bid.
