The Football Association has confirmed that Gareth Southgate will remain as England manager.
Southgate has just participated in his third major tournament as Three Lions boss, guiding the team to the World Cup quarter-finals where they suffered a 2-1 defeat to France.
Despite narrowly losing to the defending world champions, the lack of progression was largely deemed to be a missed opportunity, the third of Southgate's reign.
As well as succumbing to Croatia in the semi-finals of the 2018 edition, England lost the Euro 2020 final to Italy on penalties on home turf at Wembley Stadium.
In the aftermath of the last-eight exit in Qatar, it was suggested that the 52-year-old may take the decision to resign from the role, two years before the end of his contract.

Southgate acknowledged last weekend that he needed time to reflect and assess his future, addressing the emotional toll that it had taken on him.
However, reports emerged earlier this week that the FA were keen for Southgate to continue leading the national team as they consider preparations for Euro 2024 qualifying, which begins in March.
On the back of claims on Saturday evening that the former Middlesbrough and England Under-21s boss had agreed to remain in his position, the FA has now confirmed that Southgate will lead the nation's bid to win Euro 2024.
A statement read: "We are delighted to confirm that Gareth Southgate is continuing as England Manager and will lead our Euro 2024 campaign.

Although Southgate has won 49 of his 81 matches in charge of England, just three wins have been posted in the most recent 11 outings.
In order to reach the next major tournament in Germany, England must first come through a qualifying group which consists of Italy, Ukraine, North Macedonia and Malta.
England begin that campaign with their toughest fixture, an away encounter with European champions Italy on March 23 having suffered a 2-0 defeat to the Azzurri on away territory as recently as September.
Three days later, England are due to play host to Ukraine in another contest which may prove pivotal when it comes to trying to achieve a top-two finish in Group C.
