Scott Parker: 'Courage not enough for Euros'

Parker: 'Courage not enough for Euros'

Scott Parker has admitted that England's "courage and commitment" will not win them Euro 2012.

The Tottenham Hotspur midfielder captained England as they fell 3-2 to the Netherlands on Wednesday, and later praised the "courage" of his team to come back from 2-0 down.

"We all realise courage and commitment alone won't win tournaments," Parker said.

"Obviously we need to add a little bit more and the Holland match was a good step.

"We have to take positives about getting back into the game and I was disappointed we let one in late."

England kick off their Euro 2012 campaign against France on Monday, June 11.
