Norway coach Egil Olsen thinks that England lack creativity but should still advance from Group D at the European Championships.

Norway coach Egil Olsen has said that England lack creativity but should still advance from Group D at the European Championships.

England edged past Olsen's men in Oslo last night in an uneventful encounter and the 70-year-old thinks England need to do more "spectacular" things, using Ashley Young's ninth-minute goal as an example.

"They should advance from [the Euro 2012] group," said Olsen. "I would be very disappointed if they don't manage that, and after that anything can happen.

"Roy Hodgson's teams are always well organised but you need creative players who can do the spectacular extra things, like the goal for example. I didn't see too much of that against us, and at this stage I don't know what a coach can do about it."

England's final preparation friendly is at Wembley against Belgium in Saturday before they travel to Poland and then take on France in their tournament opener on Monday, June 11.
