Roy Hodgson wants Harry Kane back in England Under-21s for Euros

Hodgson wants Kane back in U21s

England Under-21 manager Gareth Southgate has revealed that senior boss Roy Hodgson wants Harry Kane to compete at this summer's Euros in the Czech Republic.

The Tottenham Hotspur striker impressed for the Three Lions on his debut against Lithuania as he scored just 79 seconds after coming off the bench in their 4-0 win at Wembley on Friday.

The senior side will play two matches during the Under-21 Euros in June, but Hodgson is said to be keen to give Kane more experience with the Young Lions.

"Roy Hodgson and I know that the seniors are in a good group position and he feels that the experience of going to the Czech Republic in the summer will be more beneficial to Harry than the two games he has got," The Express quotes Southgate as saying.

"That is absolutely the case regardless of his displays between now and then."

Kane has scored 29 goals for Spurs so far this season.
