Gaizka Garitano plays down Raul Albentosa exit talk

Eibar boss Gaizka Garitano has played down suggestions that Raul Albentosa has already agreed to join Derby County.

Rams boss Steve McClaren confirmed on Sunday that the Championship club wanted to sign the 26-year-old this month.

However, Garitano has insisted that there is no deal in place and hailed the defender's performance in Sunday's 2-1 win over Getafe.

"I know nothing [about the Albentosa deal]. He's always first to turn up in training, and you all saw the match he had," he said after the game.

"It says a lot about his professionalism, both as a player and a person. We don't want anyone to leave."

Albentosa joined Eibar from Cadiz in 2013.
