Dunfermline Athletic deducted 15 points

The Scottish Football League deduct 15 points from Dunfermline Athletic due to the club's current financial position.

Dunfermline Athletic have been deducted 15 points by the Scottish Football League for entering administration.

The First Division club, who are currently fifth in the table, will slip into the relegation playoff position as a result of the decision from the SFL.

An SFL statement said: "The Scottish Football League regrets the current situation that Dunfermline Athletic FC finds itself in. We are fully aware of the impact this situation has had on all concerned, especially players, staff and fans of the club."

Dunfermline have also been placed under a player registration embargo until they manage to come out of administration.

The club are yet to confirm whether they will appeal the decision.
