Dundee manager John Brown says that he is "delighted" with his players following their 2-1 win over St Mirren in the Scottish Premier League.

Dundee manager John Brown has expressed his elation following his side's 2-1 victory over St Mirren in the Scottish Premier League.

The division's bottom club picked up their fourth win of the campaign with goals from John Baird and Jim McAlister, much to the delight of their coach.

"I'm delighted for the players after that," Sky Sports News quotes Brown as saying. "They gave me everything and that's all all I can ask for.

"They never looked like giving in even when we went down 1-0 in the first half and weren't playing all that well, so they deserved to get the win in the end.

"They showed what they're all about and to keep going the way they did speaks volumes for them. We need everyone pulling together which is what we got tonight."

The result leaves Dundee 14 points adrift of 11th-placed St Mirren in the table.
