West Brom to begin Scott Allan talks

West Bromwich Albion have begun discussions with Dundee United starlet Scott Allan, according to reports in Scotland.

The 20-year-old is about to enter the final six months of his contract at Tannadice and talks over a new deal have stalled in recent weeks.

Baggies boss Roy Hodgson has reportedly agreed a fee in the region of £400,000 with Dundee, and hopes to secure the deal in early January.

The highly-rated midfielder, who made his SPL debut earlier this season, has made six league appearances for the club.
