Late Anthony Griffiths-Junior header denies Derby County XI

Anthony Griffiths-Junior struck an 89th-minute equaliser for Mickleover Sports as a Derby County XI were held to a 1-1 draw with the non-league outfit tonight.

Despite the lowly status of Mickleover, the Derby-based side held their more famous neighbours to a goalless draw at the break in a half where chances were at a premium for both sides.

It was not until 83 minutes until the deadlock was broken as Atletico Madrid midfielder Ivan Calero - who has been training with the Rams - gave County a slender advantage with a tidy finish.

However, there was still time for the hosts, and Griffiths-Junior pounced in the closing stages by heading home an equaliser from close range as the spoils were shared.
