A late penalty kick by Pizzi caps an impressive comeback for Deportivo La Coruna, who come from two goals down to earn a thrilling draw against Valencia at the Mestalla.

Deportivo La Coruna came from two goals down to earn a thrilling draw against 10-man Valencia at the Mestalla and continue their impressive start to the season.

Jonas twice set up Roberto Soldado within the opening 28 minutes as the Spain international bagged a brace to put the hosts firmly in control.

Abel Aguilar tapped home from close range to give his side a glimmer of hope seven minutes before half time, however Sofiane Feghouli restored Valencia's two-goal advantage with a clinical finish moments later.

Aguilar claimed his second goal of the game just before the hour-mark when he connected sweetly with a Aythami flick-on following a corner kick.

Deportivo were then given a golden chance to level the scores 14 minutes from time when Juan Dominguez was brought down by Ricardo Costa inside the penalty area.

Costa was shown a second yellow card for the foul and Pizzi calmly converted the resultant spot kick.
