Coventry City sign Stuart Urquhart

Coventry City have completed the signing of centre-half Stuart Urquhart from Rangers.

The 18-year-old, who was out of contract at the Scottish outfit, has signed a three-year deal with the League One side.

"We are absolutely delighted to get Stuart. He's a player I've had my eye on for some time and I believe he has a great future ahead of him," Coventry boss Steven Pressley told PA.

"Stuart will come into our Under-21 development squad set-up but, as we have shown this season, the path to the first team is there for every player - no matter how old they are - if they work hard and impress."

A number of Football League clubs had also reportedly been monitoring his development.
