Pressley: 'Coventry City should have won at Yeovil Town'

Coventry City manager Steven Pressley says that his team should have beaten Yeovil Town after missing a penalty in a goalless draw at Huish Park.

Coventry City manager Steven Pressley has admitted that he was left disappointed after his team missed a penalty in their goalless draw at Yeovil Town.

The Sky Blues were forced to settle for a point at Huish Park, but may have left with all three had Gary Madine not slipped as he went to take his spot kick.

While Pressley is disappointed with the outcome, the Scot believes that his side put in a good performance.

He is quoted by the club's official website as saying: "There were positives aspects today, but with the penalty you have to score. We didn't and it gave them a massive lift.

"But we did well when they had that ten minutes of momentum, we kept them at bay. We hit them with speed off the counter but couldn't convert our chances. You can see that both sides weren't brimming with confidence, but I couldn't question the mentality of the group and their effort, it was excellent and I was pleased with that.

"At the end of the day that is a game we should have won. We acquitted ourselves well and the point and clean sheet does give us a foundation, something to build on, but I'm disappointed because it is not the result that I wanted."

City are currently three points above the League One relegation zone, having played more games than many of the teams below them in League One.
