Notts County are being held to a goalless draw at Coventry City following a poor first half in their League One clash at the Ricoh Arena.

The hosts enjoyed a strong start as Adam Barton saw his powerful drive flash past the post, but County soon began to dictate play.

Stephen McLaughlin's deflected effort fall kindly for the goalkeeper on 13 minutes, while Aaron Phillips cleared off the line when Mike Edwards's header from a corner looked destined to find the net.

Despite the away team's dominance, the poor pitch proved to be a leveller during a drab opening half as no further chances managed to be conjured up.
