Costa Rica defender ruled out of World Cup

Costa Rica defender Heiner Mora has been forced to withdraw from the World Cup through injury.

Mora complained of feeling a "sharp pain" to his heel during training on Tuesday, and after medical assessment, he was diagnosed with a stress fracture.

The 29-year-old has been replaced in Jorge Luis Pinto's squad by Dave Myrie.

Costa Rica have been drawn alongside Uruguay, Italy and England at the finals in Brazil.
