Defences were on top as Chievo Verona and Udinese played out a 0-0 draw at the Stadio Marc Antonio Bentegodi.
It was the home side who were more adventurous in the first half, testing Samir Haandanovic in the Udinese goal on a few occasions.
However, they squandered the best opportunity of the match when Handanovic brought down Cyril Thereau inside the box.
Handanovic managed to redeem himself by saving Thereau's spot-kick.
Udinese mustered a few attempts on goal in the second half, but were unable to create anything of note.
The result means Chievo stay ninth and Udinese remain in fourth.
