Juan Cuadrado 'to join Juventus on loan'

Chelsea winger Juan Cuadrado could join Italian champions Juventus on loan as early as tomorrow, the Serie A club's chief executive Giuseppe Marotta has claimed.

The Colombian only arrived at Stamford Bridge from Fiorentina in February on a four-year deal for a fee of around £26m but has not been able to secure a regular place under Jose Mourinho.

His opportunities seemed even more limited after the Premier League champions signed Pedro from Barcelona, and Cuadrado had been linked with a switch to Italy earlier this week.

Marotta appears to have confirmed the deal, telling Sport Mediaset before the 1-0 defeat to Udinese: "Cuadrado will arrive on loan. It could be made official as soon as tomorrow.

"It was discussed and agreed with [manager] Massimo Allegri. We work on the market in complete harmony with him."

Cuadrado made just four Premier League starts under Mourinho after arriving in England.
