Chelsea will look to sell six players this summer to fund a big-money move for Bayer Leverkusen attacker Kai Havertz, according to a report.

Chelsea are reportedly looking to sell six players during this summer's transfer window in order to fund a big-money move for Bayer Leverkusen attacker Kai Havertz.

The speculation linking Havertz with a switch to Stamford Bridge continues to gather pace, with the Germany international said to 'dream of a move to the Premier League'.

Chelsea have already spent big to land both Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech this summer, but Frank Lampard's side are thought to be keen to bring the Leverkusen youngster to the club ahead of the 2020-21 campaign.

According to The Express, the Blues will look to raise the required funds by selling Marcos Alonso, Michy Batshuayi, Tiemoue Bakayoko, Kenedy, Danny Drinkwater and Emerson Palmieri this summer.

Alonso, Batshuayi and Emerson have all been involved for the London club this season, but Bakayoko has been on loan with Monaco, while Kenedy and Drinkwater have been on loan at Getafe and Aston Villa respectively.

Bayern Munich have also been strongly linked with Havertz, but the German champions recently ruled out a summer move for the 21-year-old.

Havertz has been in impressive form for Leverkusen during the 2019-20 campaign, scoring 17 times and contributing nine assists in 43 appearances in all competitions
