Chelsea defender Patrick van Aanholt to continue loan spell

Dutch club Vitesse Arnhem have revealed that Chelsea youngster Patrick van Aanholt will stay on loan in Holland next season.

A statement on Vitesse's website said: "Patrick van Aanholt plays next season for Vitesse. The 21-year-old defender last season came in the winter on loan from Chelsea to Arnhem.

"In the 2011/2012 season he played nine league games in the yellow-black and also played along in the playoffs for European football. He made his debut in the away match against PSV. He will play with number 38."

Van Aanholt has found first-team opportunities difficult to come at Stamford Bridge, making just two appearances in the Premier League.
